June

I am going to attempt a quick summary of our summer in a series of posts.  Really, I just went through our pictures and grabbed a few of my favorites.  Hopefully, it will give you a glimpse of what has been going on at the Skinner residence.
Here are some favorites from June:

Isaac starts eating solid foods.  He is a pro from day 1.
We had a campfire in the fire pit before it got too hot in the evenings.  Bean makes a perfect roasted marshmallow.
There was lots of hanging out outside in the evening.  Cool early summer evenings, in the yard, with beautiful sunsets can't be beat.  Bean jumps over Andy.
Things have started to repeat around here having three boys.  Here we have Brigham and Andy December 2009:

Then a couple years later, Andy and Isaac.  Notice the jammies are worn through the feet.
We have had the neighbors over multiple times for some serious slip-n-sliding.
We went up Cherry Creek Canyon by our house.  I forgot how beautiful it is up there.  Maybe it is because we went up without a destination in mind and could walk slowly and really take in the beauty.  Cherry Creek was going strong despite the dry year.

"Everyone do your best pose on the rock."  Some participate, some don't.
The boys crash out while reading books on the couch after a hard day of playing.  Andy still loves his thermal and fleece jammies even though it is 85+ degrees inside.
One day our neighbors, the Hansens, invite us over for a picnic.  They said, come over and bring your swim suits.  We show up and they have a 7 course gourmet lunch set out with everything yummy, 2 kinds of sandwiches, deviled eggs, pasta salad, punch, homemade baked beans, salad, and  strawberry shortcake.  It was gourmet.  Then we learn that they filled up the hot tub just for our picnic, hours of entertainment.
They did make one mistake however, Dave told Andy that these foam tubes were swords.
 Dave paid for that mistake.
Did I mention the croquet set?  They taught the children how the "play", but eventually the set became a parking lot?
June did involve lots of bathing and cuddling these two babies.  I love this photo because it hints at their relationship.  Andy loves, protects, teaches, and toughens up his little brother.  He is just shaping him into the perfect playmate.
